Syeda Rubbia Mahnaz
Founder and President
Rubbia is an integral part of ensuring that Youth Achieve runs smoothly from day-to-day. In addition to setting long and short-term goals, she is responsible for organizing and reviewing each departments. Youth Achieve was developed out of her passionate concept of supporting immigrant high school students like herself. Rubbia is a fourth-year student at the University of Calgary. She is currently researching Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology and is preparing to apply for medicine. She is very interested in resolving systematic inequities that limit communities' health choices.
Ayma Khan
Co-President
Ayma is Youth Achieve's Co-President. She works with the President to create strategies for short and long-term objectives and plans. She ensures each department meets their individual goals. Ayma is a second-year student with a major in Child and Youth Care Counselling at Mount Royal University. She is passionate about emotionally empowering diverse kids.
Julia Licznerski
Volunteer Coordinator
Julia is a first year student at the University of Calgary and the Volunteer Coordinator at Youth Achieve. Her job is to assess volunteer qualification and, eventually, performance, ensure that mentors are aware of their responsibilities, match mentees with mentors that will fulfill their needs, and serve as the bridge between volunteers and the board of executives. Julia shows her dedication to learning through her commitment to a combined degree in Biological Sciences and English and through her participation in the Arts and Science Honors Academy at the university. Julia thoroughly enjoys being a leader and aspires to become a university professor herself, mostly likely in either English or Linguistics and Language.
Rojan Khoshreza
Vice-President of Outreach
Rojan is the Vice-President of Outreach. Her job is to collaborate with the outreach manager to contact different organizations that might possibly provide mentees and mentors with volunteering opportunities. In order to support our community, build visibility, and resources for those in need, she also assists in the communication and social media department. Currently, Rojan is in her third-year at the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She is intending to apply for medicine in the near future.
Ayeh Ozmaeian
Outreach Manager
Ayeh is the Outreach Manager. She is responsible for numerous groups that may eventually offer volunteer resources for our mentees. She also supports and advertises for Youth Achieve. Ayeh is currently in her second-year at the University of Alberta with a major in Neuroscience and hopes to apply for medicine in the future.
Sahar Sajjad
Vice-President of Recruitment
Sahar is the Vice-President of Recruitment. She is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of high school students, who are looking to be mentored through the curriculum and encouraging new high school management relationship building. Sahar is currently in her second-year at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree. In the near future, she looks forward to applying for medicine.
Syed Tasveeb Haider
Recruitment Manager
Tasveeb is the Recruitment Manager. He tends to the editing and enhancing of Youth Achieve Web page as well as managing recruited mentees. He is currently a 1st year university student enrolled at MRU pursuing a degree in business administration. Tasveeb is devoted towards his goal of becoming a leading member of the Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance Alberta.
Sehrish Khan
Graphic Designer
Sehrish is a Graphic Designer and Mentee Recruiter. She is currently a grade 11 student at Forest Lawn High School. Sehrish is responsible for recruiting immigrants students from her school and coordinating their enrollment in Youth Achieve. She aspires to be a successful businesswoman in the future. Therefore, she plans to study business management.
